Inspirations

Work lately has been terribly stressful and impossible. I find that, most of all, it is beauty that reminds me of my humanity. Here are pretty things that have been inspiring me lately, most of them made even more special by the people who gave them:

Finally, the Sofia Blanc de Blanc from my darling sister Momfy-- the wine Francis Ford Coppola created in honor of his daughter's marriage to Thomas Mars. Anything that carries Sofia's name, of course, is charmingly packaged. I'm saving a couple of cans for when I go on a picnic.

The fresh bottle of lavender soap, which we got from Ritual turned out to be citrus. I adore it nonetheless because it is mild and the bottle is just delightful.

I finally found myself a copy of "The Consolations of Philosophy," which I began reading years ago but somehow never quite finished. Something to consult for whatever pickle.

Here, it is still a work in progress. I am hoping to design some fabric, perhaps for throw pillows.

On the way home one day, we got carnations for my tray. While they wilted too quickly, they were once pretty, and that is all that matters.
