A wish list

1. A lovely wine bucket, perhaps, in gold
2. Wick trimmer
3. Long matches, because I find them ever so sophisticated
4. Black Moleskine notebook
5. A new watercolor pad, because I am just about out
6. White furry sweater
7. A gold frame for my "Manhattan" poster
8. Pale pink flowers, like before
9. Moonlight cinema
10. Champagne

A necessary pause

To keep us sane amidst all the stress of school, work, and decisions about the future, we tried to fill the week with good food and drink-- chardonnay and limoncello paired with soft crab shell risotto, cold cuts and cheese, plus a Korean feast. While our troubles did not go away, for a moment we did not remember. For a moment, we could breathe.

"Death Comes to Pemberley"

It was delightful to meet Lizzy and Mr. Darcy once again, but the biggest treat of all was the sight of their breathtaking estate. Look how lovely!

This year

This year I plan to live beautifully, and so I intend to add several things to my everyday:

1. Proper stationery for my handwritten notes, which I also intend to abundantly give this year
2. Red Moleskine journal for my thoughts and for when I practice my calligraphy
3. Wine with lunch and dinner, perhaps even with breakfast
4. That elusive pair of sunglasses that will suit my face
5. Scented candles every night
6. A mini herb garden, since I cannot for dear life keep flowers alive

New Year's Day tea time

Cholo, I just have to say, is my all time favorite tea time buddy. He likes to feign resistance and complain about how his fingers are too big for the teacup but then I know that he immensely enjoys our afternoons at TWG, perhaps most of all because he knows how much I love the daintiness and unhurriedness of it all. That he has a favorite flowery tea is veritable proof, I think.
