Love-a lamp
Today Ice got me a lamp and it was adorable and it went with all of my things. :)

When Ice let me read Fr. Ferriols' blog tonight, I cried because it was beautiful and true. Just recently, i was very sad because I thought no one wrote beautifully and truthfully anymore-- as Hemingway did, and as Ferriols does.

At Anawim
At the home for the abandoned elderly, my students played bingo with lolos and lolas and cheered them on like they were playing for a million pesos and not packs of wafer. They sang to their new friends and listened to lola Charing sing a Spanish song, nodding their heads and smiling like they understood her words. When they have finally walked them back to their rooms, they ran to me and showed me the rosary beads and towelettes that the old have given them as presents. They held them up like they were diamonds.

Batch 2012
My kids are graduating soon and I will miss them terribly. I will miss how they are total dorks who get all excited about Star Wars and Tintin and Simon Pegg movies and how they never tire of hacking my photo booth and Facebook account and how telling them ghost stories is the only way to shut them up.
